Queens Of The Stone Age have announced the re-release of three albums: their 1998 self-titled debut, their 2013 album ‘Like Clockwork’ and their latest album, 2017’s ‘Villains’.
There will be limited edition vinyl, including special colored vinyl clips, as well as exclusive new and restored artwork, posters and more.
Queens Of The Stone Age’ is being reissued today (September 22nd) digitally and will be released on vinyl on October 21st. Restored to its original track listing and adorned with long-out-of-print original Frank Kozik art, the reissue will feature an obi band designed by longtime collaborator Boneface and will be available on standard black vinyl and limited edition colored vinyl. . Both editions are available direct from the Queens Of The Stone Age store, Matador Records and selected independent stores.
On December 9, ‘Like Clockwork’ and ‘Villains’ will be reissued. ‘Like Clockwork’ will be a new edition from its original master tapes with alternate artwork and Boneface obi-strip, with a limited edition opaque vinyl available direct from Queens Of The Stone Age and Matador Records, as well as a limited edition on red vinyl. available in other stores.
Villains is re-released in a special fifth anniversary package with a new Boneface etch, obi-strip and poster, and is on limited edition green-leaf vinyl available exclusively through Queens Of The Stone Age and/or Matador. with limited edition white vinyl available from other retailers.
Meanwhile, QOTSA singer/guitarist Josh Homme has said that making an album with country singer Nikki Lane “saved my life”.
Homme produced Lane’s next album, ‘Denim & Diamonds,’ which is out tomorrow (September 23).
In a post shared on Instagram on Monday (September 19), Homme reflected on working on the album. “Making a record with Nikki Lane saved my life,” he wrote. “His songs about life, love, loss & getting up for another round in the ring… well, they helped me do the same.”
