PVRIS and Bad Suns team up on their new “summer bop”, ‘Maybe You Saved Me’
PVRIS features on a new song released by Bad Suns for their deluxe edition 2022 album, ‘Apocalypse Whenever’.
‘You Might Have Saved Me’ appears on the upcoming extended edition of the fourth Bad Suns album, featuring Lynn Gunn of PVRIS along with Bad Suns singer Christo Bowman.
Bowman said in a statement (via Stereoboard): “When I drove home from the studio after writing the song, I knew immediately that I wanted to hear Lynn’s voice in the mix, and we are so grateful that she came on board.
“She breathed new life into the song and helped make it something really special.”
Gunn added: “Christo’s voice is so iconic and so distinctive, it was really special to be able to sing with her on this track. I’m so grateful to be involved in this song, it’s the perfect happy summer bop and It’s sad. I hope everyone is in the car with the windows down when I first hear it.”
The deluxe edition of ‘Apocalypse Whenever’ will be out on September 30th. A second bonus cut is also included: Robotaki’s remix of ‘Life Was Easier When I Only Cared About Me’.
It arrives before Bad Suns kick off their North American tour on October 3, 2022 in Pomona, California, USA.
Meanwhile, earlier this year PVRIS postponed their European and UK tour, changing their starting point from April 2022 to January 2023.
The nine-month delay comes as the band chose to focus on their yet-to-be-announced fourth album, which Gunn officially confirmed was “in the works” in a statement shared in April.
Gunn explained that the tour was “originally intended to accompany the new PVRIS album” but that she and her bandmates had been held back until then by “the endless amount of barriers and obstacles caused by the pandemic “, as well as. the lack of support from his former label, Rise Records.
