TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You 2 has revealed a new trailer and key visual, along with a 2023 premiere date.Studio Seven Arcs is animating the sequel to the rom-com anime.
The same studio also worked on the first season, which aired in 2020, and the two special episodes. The first was a 2021 OVA, while the second was a web special that will premiere later today (the 22nd in Japan). The special web version was scheduled for a summer release, but was pushed back to the fall. The second season of the anime was announced last November. Crunchyroll streams the anime, including the specials.
Junya Enoki and Akari Kito voice the main duo, Nasa and Tsukasa Yuzuki. Yu Serizawa, Konomi Kohara, and Sumire Uesaka voice characters in the series.
The anime is based on the Tonikau Kawai manga series by Kenjiro Hata, which is licensed as Fly Me to the Moon by Viz Media. The English publisher describes the plot as:
From the day his parents named him, Nasa Yuzaki has felt connected to the cosmos…whether he likes it or not. His efforts to surpass the space program are derailed when an accident introduces him to Tsukasa, a mysterious girl with strange powers. Is it an alien, a moon goddess, or something else? Since she insists on marrying him, NASA will have plenty of chances to find out!
