
Original anime Pon no Michi gets first key visual, additional cast
The Pon no Michi original anime from studio OLM has revealed the first key visual ahead of its January 2024 premiere. Hibiku Yamamura is joining the cast, as well as Haneru Emi.

Previously announced cast members include Kaori Maeda as Nashiko Jippensha, Iori Saeki as Pai Kawahigashi, Shion Wakayama as Izumi Tokutom, and Yui Kondo as Riche Hayashi.
The anime will be directed by Tatsuma Minamikawa (Firepower season 2,Go listen to me!) Kenji Ota is doing the character designs for the anime (the original designs are by Negi Haruba, author of The typical fives). Emmy Cadono is the color designer and Scott McDonald is in charge of the art direction. Takahashi Go is the sound engineer.
The official website for the anime briefly teased the setting of the original mayong-themed anime as:
Set amidst the picturesque streets, historic shrines and temples, beautiful sea, and rich scenery of Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture, the slow but sparkling days of the heroes begin.
This isn’t the first time Studio OLM has made an original anime, it’s the latest Strange taxi with PICS studio, The TV anime aired from April 6 to June 29, 2021 for 13 episodes. It was followed by a film in 2022.
