Summary of Nokemono-tachi no Yoru

Wisteria is an orphan girl who lives in a corner of the British Empire in the late 19th century. His life is bleak and gloomy, until he meets Marbas, a powerful man who is just as lonely and hunter-looking. Together, Wisteria and Marbas travel the Empire – in which humans and beasts are like humans – in search of a place where they can live together in peace.
