The time has come: NME is back in print and our issue is out this Wednesday (August 9). We’ll tell you how to get your copy of the new magazine.
First launched in 1952, the final print issue of NME magazine ceased publication in 2018. Since then, NME has amassed its largest ever readership as a global online publication, as well as one-off print specials and titles in Australia.
The July/August 2023 issue sees NME return to print as a global bi-monthly magazine featuring the world’s best new artists and bands, alongside new exclusive franchises, must-see features, industry analysis and expert reviews on the latest music, television. , movie and video game releases.
Each issue of the new NME magazine will be headlined by an issue of The Cover – NME’s flagship issue, supporting emerging talent, supporting new artists and bands as part of our commitment to global discovery of new music . On the cover of the July/August 2023 issue is DIY innovator and inaugural star of The Cover, d4vd.
In the rest of the issue, we interview Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age, rising star Bloody Civilian and Glamorous Miss Benny frontwoman, see the biggest films coming in 2023 and the best albums of the year so far. and much more.
The magazine will be available exclusively worldwide through music retailer Dawsons, with limited editions available through selected artists, record stores and partners. In a nod to NME’s roots, the first issue goes on sale at 19:52 BST this Wednesday (August 9).
