
New Quintessential Quintuplets anime from Shaft gets trailer
The previously announcedThe typical fives∽ anime TV special from SHAFT studio revealed the first trailer. The special will premiere this summer, while it will have a three-week theatrical tour in Japan starting on July 14. Check out the trailer:
Yukihiro Miyamoto is the director and Keichiro Ochi is in charge of series composition. The cast of the originalThe typical fivesthe anime is also returning for the new project. The theme songs will be released on July 12th, and both will be performed by the Nakano sisters. The opening song is titled “Go-toubun no Mirai” while the ending song is “Takaramono”. The cast includes:
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Futaro Uesugi
- Ayana Taketatsu as Nino Nakano
- Ayane Sakura as Yotsuba Nakano
- Inori Minase as Itsuki Nakano
- Kana Hanazawa as Ichika Nakano
- Miku Ito as Miku Nakano
The first season ofThe typical fivesanime adaptation aired in 2019 and was animated by Tezuka Productions. Bibury Animation Studios took over the second season, which premiered in 2021. Bibury Animation Studios also animated the final film.
Kodanshalicensed the manga, which also ended last year, and has since published an epilogue chapter in English. Crunchyroll is streaming the anime and they describe the story:
Uesugi Fuutarou, a high school sophomore from a poor family, receives an extremely attractive offer to work part-time as a teacher… but his students turn out to be girls from his own class! What’s more, they’re quintessences… all quintessences are beautiful, but they happen to be troubled students who have borderline grades and hate studying! It looks like his first task will be to earn the trust of all the sisters?! Every day is a wild party in this rom-com centered around the quintuplets of the Nakano household!
