Eminence in the shadows anime has revealed a new character trailer, this time for Delta, Epsilon, Zeta and Eta. Studio Nexus is animating the series, which is set to begin airing this October. The trailer with English subtitles features the voices of the four characters:
- Fairuz Ai as Delta
- Hisako Kanemoto as Epsilon
- Reina Kondo as Etta
- Ayaka Asai as Zeta
Before that, TThe Highness in the Shadow anime revealed a character trailer for Alpha and a joint trailer for Beta and Gamma. The rest of the cast includes:
- Seiichiro Yamashita as Sid Kageno/Shadow
- Kana Hanazawa as Alexia Midgar
- Yoko Hikasa as Iris Midgar
- Asami Seto as Alpha
- Minori Inase as Beta
- Suzuko Mimori as Gama
The anime is based on a light novel written by Daisuke Aizawa and illustrated by Touzai. Kazuya Nakanishi (character designer ofDarwin’s game) directed the anime. Makoto Iino (Demon Lord, try again) does character design, while Kanichi Kato is in charge of series composition.
The light novel began serialization in 2017 and also has manga and 4-koma adaptations.Yen Presslicenses the light novel and describes the plot as:
Even in his past life, Sid’s dream was not to become the main character or final boss. He prefers to hide as a minor character until the best time comes to reveal that he is a mastermind…or at least do the next best thing – pretend to be one! And now that he has been reborn in another world, he is ready to create the perfect conditions to live out his dreams to the fullest. Armed with his overactive imagination, Sid jokingly recruits members into his organization and invents an entire backstory for an evil cult they must take down.
