
My Hero Academia’s Mirko celebrates the New Year wearing a kimono
The official Twitter account of My Hero Academia anime released a happy new year preview featuring rabbit character Mirko on Sunday. In the Japanese zodiac, 2023 is the year of the Usagi (Rabbit/Rabbit). Studio Bones is animating the current sixth season, and the second season will begin on January 7, 2023.
The new visual features the rabbit character Mirko, whose real name is Rumi Usagiyama, wearing a kimono with a rabbit design. She makes a rabbit sign with her hands. Above it can be seen written text “HAPPY NEW HERO YEAR” in red and “2023” in black.

Bones Animation Studio animatesMy Hero Academiaanime series based on Kohei Horikoshi’s manga of the same name, serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump. The series published its final, 36th volume on October 4, 2022. The sixth season airs every Saturday starting October 1 in Japan. Viz Media licensed the manga and released the final, 32nd volume on October 4, 2022. The 33rd volume is available for pre-order, and the release date is set for February 7, 2023.
