My happy marriageanime revealed the preview for episode 11 titled “My Mother’s Legacy” on Monday. Additionally, the staff was also revealed: Takushi Koide (Produced in Abyss: The Golden City of the Hot Sun episode 10) as director, Ami Sato (22/7episodes 4, 8 and 10) as screenwriter and Tomohiko Ito (Anohana: The flower we saw the other day episodes 7, 9) as the one handling the script. Netflix will stream the upcoming episode, which is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, September 13.
Studio Kinema Citrus (Made in Abyss) animated the series with Shoko Yasuda (Wasted days of a high school girl) character design and Evan Call (Violet Evergarden) composing the music. Reina Ueda voices the main character Miyo Saimori, while Kaito Ishikawa stars as Kiyoka Kudo.
The anime is based on the light novel written by Akumi Agitogi. The light novel was originally published on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website. Fujimi L Bunko later acquired the title in January 2019 with illustrations provided by Tsukiho Tsukioka. Yen Pressis licensed the novel in English and described the plot as:
Born gifted to a noble family known for their supernatural abilities, Miyo Saimori is forced into a life of servitude by her abusive stepmother. When Miyo finally reaches marriageable age, however, her hopes of being whisked away to a better life are dashed after she discovers the identity of her fiancé: Kiyoka Kudou, a commander apparently so cold and cruel that all his previous brides-to-be fled within three days of their engagements. With no home to return to, Mio accepts her fate and soon discovers that her pale and handsome future husband is anything but the monster she expected. As they slowly open their hearts to each other, they both realize that the other may be their chance to find true love and happiness.
