My Chemical Romance’s ‘The Mad Gear And Missile Kid’ EP is finally available to stream, 12 years after its release.
The three-track disc was originally released in 2010 as the soundtrack to the fictional Killjoys who inhabit the cartoonish, post-apocalyptic world of My Chemical Romance’s ‘Danger Days’.
Now ‘FTWWW’, ‘Mastas Of Ravenkroft’ and ‘Black Dragon Fighting Society’ can be heard on streaming services.
Announcing the news, My Chemical Romance’s Frank Iero said: “Originally released in 2010 as part of the ‘Danger Days’ universe, ‘The Mad Gear And Missile Kid’ EP is now available to stream on Spotify. You and your friends can conveniently add to it. your favorite Killjoys group for all playlists and more.”
He made his live debut on ‘Mastas Of Ravencroft’ earlier this year when My Chemical Romance kicked off their reunion tour at the Eden Project in Cornwall, and has appeared regularly since.
Earlier this month, My Chemical Romance kicked off the North American leg of their reunion tour by playing two features for the first time in over 15 years. ‘Bury Me In Black’ was broadcast for the first time in 19 years, and ‘This Is the Best Day Ever’ was shown for the first time since 2005.
Since then, the band performed the “Conventional Weapons” track “Burn Bright” live for the first time, and performed “Vampires Will Never Hurt You” for the first time in ten years.
My Chemical Romance’s reunion tour continues until October, before the band headline the When We Were Young festival alongside Paramore. They are also due to tour Australia and New Zealand in March 2023.
Last week Iero introduced his new band LS Dunes. The five-piece band is fronted by Circa Survive singer Anthony Green, and will be joined by guitarist Travis Stever (of Coheed And Cambria) bassist Tim Payne and bandmate Tucker Rule (who played in Yellowcard for sometimes too) on the battery. . His debut album “Past Lives” will be released on November 11th via Fantasy Records.
