Mother’s Rosario has been voted the most popular Sword Art Online episode in Japan

24th episode of Sword Art Online II entitled “Mother’s Rosario” was voted the most popular episode of the franchise to date in Japan. You can view the message below:

Voting was held as part of a contest titled “SAO’s Choice” as part of the anime’s 10th anniversary. The contest aimed to determine the top 20 episodes Sword Art Online. Places 11 to 20 were announced first on July 1, while the top 10 episodes were announced one at a time each week from July 9 to September 10. You can also check out the full list below:

PKG remastered version of the episode “Mother’s Rosario” aired in Japan before the announcement on September 10, 2022. The first season of A-1 Pictures animated Sword Art Online anime premiered on July 8, 2012. In 2013, an anime film titled Sword Art Online: Extra Edition emitted. Season 2 aired in 2014 and was followed by a film of the same title Sword Art Online: Another Rock in 2017 the 3rd season titled Sword Art Online: Alicization aired in 2018. It was followed by a sequel titled Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of Underworld by 2019 to 2020

On October 30, 2021 spin-off film, Sword Art Online: Progressive – Starless Night Aria premiering in Japanese theaters. A sequel film titled Sword Art Online: Progressive – Scherzo of Deep Night will be released on October 22, 2022 in Japan. Ayako Kono directed Progressive movies. Studio A-1 Pictures animated it all. The anime celebrated its 10th anniversary on July 8, 2022. An event titled “Full dive” will take place on November 6 of the same year, which is also the day of the game Sword Art Online started in anime history.

ASCII Media Works is serializing Reki Kawahara’sSword Art OnlineAbec illustrated light novel series since 2009 and currently has 26 volumes with more than 30 million copies in circulation. A series of light novels titled Sword Art Online: Progressive also published by the same publisher since 2012 and currently has 8 volumes. The light novel series chronicles Kirito and Asuna’s early days in Aincrad. Yen Press published the original Sword Art Online series of light novels in English and describes the plot as:
