Anime adaptation of More than a married couple, but not lovers manga revealed the first trailer, a day after revealing a key visual and release date of October 2022. Studio Mother is animating the series.
The main cast includes:
- Saori Onishi as Akari Watanabe
- Seiichiro Yamashita as Jiro Yaquin
- Saki Miyashita as Shiori Sakurazaka
- Toshiki Masuda as Minami Tenjin
Junichi Yamamoto is directing the series, while Takao Koto is credited as the main director. Naruhisa Arakawa is in charge of series composition and Chizuru Kobayashi is the character designer. Theme songs include “True stupid love” by Liyuu as the opening theme and “Stuck in you” by Nowlu as the ending theme.
More than a married couple, but not loversis based on Yuki Kanamaru’s manga. Although the manga is not licensed in English, Kadokawa provided a translated synopsis in the trailer description:
Jiro Yaquin, a boring high school boy, ends up living with a cute girl named Akari Watanabe in Fu-Fu Jishu. The two, in love with each other, decide to play husband and wife for real to swap partners. However, during their married life, they learn about their mutual attraction and realize their attraction to each other…
