Mod Sun has publicly commented on his breakup with Avril Lavigne.
The couple got engaged in March 2022 after just over a year of dating, but have since reportedly called off their engagement.
In a new post on Instagram, Mod Sun seems to have addressed the breakup with a series of recent live photos.
“In a week my whole life has changed completely… I just know that there is a plan for everything,” she wrote. “I’ll keep my head up + I’ll always listen to my heart, even when it feels broken 💔 Being surrounded by love every night on tour is an absolute blessing. I have the best friends in the world, thanks to always have my back. See you on stage”.
Lavigne’s reps confirmed to Page Six that the couple had split and are no longer engaged. However, Mod Sun’s own rep responded to People: “They were together and engaged for three days, when Mod went on tour, so if anything has changed it’s news to him. Mod will be playing tonight in Portland at The Hawthorne Theatre.” Sun co-produced Lavigne’s recent album, ‘Love Sux,’ which came out last year. He himself released a new album, ‘God Bless The Teen’, last month. Elsewhere, Lavigne debuted her Yungblud collaboration, “I’m A Mess,” live earlier this week, when she joined him at his concert in Paris. The song is from the deluxe version of “Love Sux”.
Before the concert in Paris, Yungblud spoke to a local radio station to joke about Lavigne’s appearance, saying that their collaboration was crazy, because I have been a fan of Avril all my life. She called me and said ‘let’s go to the studio.’”.
Avril Lavigne will begin her long-delayed UK tour in May. He will perform at the O2 Apollo in Manchester on May 6 before three concerts in London.
