MAMAMOO’s sub-unit MAMAMOO+ released the music video for their new single “Save Me.”
On July 18, MAMAMOO’s Solar and Moonbyul released a video for “Save Me,” the lead single from the upcoming mini album “Two Rabbits.” The album will be out on August 3.
The new music video shows the pair singing the song in separate houses, looking out the windows as it rains. In the end, they both get an umbrella and go outside, and the rain stops when they find themselves in an open field.
“My world is always black / Even if I fake an airy smile / It’s not easy anymore / You were my everything / I’ve been alive for days / Memories of you as emergency food”, they sing in the chorus.
The upcoming “Two Rabbits” is MAMAMOO+’s first mini-album since their debut in August 2022 with the single “Better,” featuring BIG Naughty. The duo returned in March this year with their single album ‘Act 1, Scene 1’, which included the pre-release track ‘Bad Boy’ and the title track ‘GGBB’.
In an interview with NME, Solar and Moonbyul revealed that they had been wanting to release music as a duo for a while. “Sometimes we fought, sometimes we agreed, and we had a lot of experience to get here. It was not so difficult to be a unit, and it was more of a path that we had to go down at some point,” Moonbyul said.
Earlier this month, MAMAMOO member Hwasa signed with Psy agency P Nation after leaving RBW Entertainment at the end of June, two years after her partner Wheein left the company. Solar and Moonbyul are the only members of the group still at the K-pop agency.
