This American music icon, born Anna Mae Bullock in Nutbush (Tennessee), is known for her songs What’s Love Got To Do With It, The Best and Private Dancer.
He suffered various health problems in recent years, after being diagnosed with intestinal cancer in 2016. In 2017, he underwent a kidney transplant.
Turner began her career performing with her husband as the musical duo Ike & Tina Turner and rose to fame with hits such as “Proud Mary” and “River Deep, Mountain High.”
She suffered domestic abuse during her marriage before leaving Ike in 1976 and starting her own solo venture.
The singer has won eight Grammy Awards during her long musical career, and in 2021 she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist. Ike was first awarded this honor in 1991.
