
Members of Metallica, AC/DC and Travis Barker join the Taylor Hawkins tribute concerts
New artists have joined the lineup for upcoming tribute concerts for late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, and live stream details have also been announced.
Hawkins, the band’s drummer since 1997, died in Bogotá, Colombia, on March 25. I was 50 years old.
Last week, Foo Fighters announced that the band, along with the drummer’s family, will celebrate Hawkins’ memory and music at two special concerts in London and Los Angeles. The “Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts” will take place at Wembley Stadium on September 3rd before taking over the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on September 27th.
The first line-up of acts for the London show include Liam Gallagher and Mark Ronson, who will be joined by Josh Homme of Queens Of The Stone Age, Supergrass, Brian May and Roger Taylor of Queen, Wolfgang Van Halen, Chrissie Hynde of The Pretenders . and many others.
In Los Angeles, meanwhile, Alanis Morissette and Miley Cyrus will perform, as well as members of Queen and Red Hot Chili Peppers. Nirvana’s Krist Novoselic, former Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones, Pink and Nandi Bushell will also perform on both dates.
Now, many new acts, including Metallica’s Lars Ulrich, Blink-182’s Travis Barker, AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson, Kesha and Dave Grohl’s daughter Violet, will take to the stage in London, with Ulrich, Barker and Grohl in Los Angeles hosted by Ulrich, Barker and Grohl. along with Sebastian Bach, Geezer Butler, Black Sabbath bassist, etc.

A statement about the shows on the Foo Fighters website reads: “As one of the most respected and beloved figures in modern music, Taylor’s monolithic talent and magnetic personality have endeared him to millions of fans, peers, friends and legends music around the world, millions. of people mourning his untimely death on March 25, with a passionate and sincere tribute from fans and musicians Taylor idolized.
“The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts will bring together some of those artists, the Hawkins family and, of course, his Foo Fighters brothers to celebrate Taylor’s memory and legacy as a global rock icon – his peers and inspirations playing the -a song he fell in love with. with him and brought to life.”
Hawkins’ wife, Alison, has also shared a statement thanking the band’s fans for their support in the months since his death. “My gratitude and appreciation to the global community of Foo Fighters and Taylor fans around the world for the outpouring of love each of you have shown our beloved Taylor,” he wrote. “Your kindness has been an invaluable comfort to me and my family during this time of unimaginable pain.”
