The official site for the anime adaptation of the light novels written by Shu and illustrated by Yoshinori Shizuma, Maou Gakuin or Futekigousha (Misfit Academy of Demon King), the second promotional video for the second season of the project was revealed. The video confirms that the premiere is scheduled for January 7, 2023 in Japanand shows a snippet of the musical themes, including:
- The band Code Lenny fiction the opening theme titled “SEVENduring the singer-songwriter moosumomosu the final theme titled “to“.
It should be remembered that this second season will last for two arcs (two quarters) that will be released separately, and that Yuuichiro Umehara the new voice will be the protagonist Voldigod yearsafter immediate expulsion tatsuhisa suzuki after starring in an infidelity scandal.
For its part, the first season premiered during the season of Summer-2020 (July-September) in Japan and there were thirteen episodes in total, and crunchyroll in charge of its distribution in the West. Shu began publishing the novels on the independent service Shoutsuka and Narou in April 2017.

Maou Gakuin or Futekigousha Summary
In the past, a war between humans and demons caused widespread chaos and bloodshed. In order to end this seemingly endless conflict, the Demon King Anos Voldigoad willingly sacrificed his life, hoping to be safe again in a peaceful future. In preparation for the return of their king, the demon race created the Demon King Academy, an elite institution tasked with determining Anos’ identity when he awakens. He is revisited two millennia later, but to his surprise, he soon discovers that the level of magic in the world has dropped significantly during his absence.
Also, when he enrolls in the academy to claim his rightful title, he discovers that the demons have a different memory of him. His personality, actions, and even his legacy are forged, hidden under the name of impostor. Because of this “lack” of knowledge he is an outcast of the academy, something that has never been seen before in history. Despite these disadvantages, Anos is unfazed. As she seeks to discover those who disturb her glorious past, she takes it upon herself to identify her descendants that her ruler has finally returned.
