Madonna teamed up with Internet sensation Saucy Santana to remix her 2020 viral hit “Material Girl.”
“I’m not elegant, I like elegant things. Make the budget disappear like a magic trick. Make me buy everything, I don’t have to choose. Don’t chat unless the bag is thick,” Madonna raps to start the theme, although the pre-chorus includes the line “I’m a material girl, so don’t wear this. If you’re not a material girl, you’re basic”.

Santana’s ‘Material Girl’ went viral on TikTok and caught the attention of Madonna, who invited him to perform with her at New York Pride earlier this year.
Speaking to the Grammy website, Santana said, “It was like my dream to be able to go into the studio with the Material Girl. To be able to be around her, to see how hard she still works .”
“It was a big surprise because Madonna handpicked me,” Santana continued, “it wasn’t a favor. She specifically asked Saucy Santana. Madonna is an icon. If you think quickly about who is bigger than Madonna, you can’t name anybody. . You’ll have to think. For me, being in that space was incredible.”
Later this month, Madonna will release “Finally Enough Love”, a new compilation that celebrates the singer’s 50 hits on the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart.
In other collaboration news, Madonna recently teamed up with Beyoncé for a remix of the ‘Renaissance’ theme song ‘Break My Soul’, called ‘The Queens Remix’.
Madonna also revealed that she has no plans to sell her extensive catalog. When asked why he hadn’t considered doing it – as Justin Timberlake, Sting and the David Bowie estate have done in recent months – he replied bluntly, “Because they’re my songs. I own all thing, right?” .
