Last night (August 27), in Reading, Arctic Monkeys and Bring Me The Horizon played together as headliners. Reviewing Arctic Monkeys’ return to the UK, NME said: “Whether tonight is one of the band’s definitive gigs is still up for debate; a return to Yorkshire, in Leeds, could take up the mantle. But the band seems to be comfortable here in the sweet spot, where hearty indie classics and more esoteric juxtapositions can co-exist on each and every set list.”
Meanwhile, Bring Me The Horizon took a “hard-earned victory lap,” according to NME’s five-star review of the set, which featured an appearance by Ed Sheeran on ‘Bad Habits’.
Elsewhere, on Saturday, Fontaines DC welcomed fans to the stage to play guitar with them during “Boys In The Better Land” and Pendulum collaborated with Enter Shikari for a surprise set.
Reading Festival ends today, with The 1975, Halsey and Charli XCX, and Bring Me The Horizon, Wolf Alice and Arctic Monkeys will close the Leeds Festival.
