Everyone’s favorite assassins, Chisato and Takina, will face newfound enemies in the newly announced Lycoris Recoil and Magic Record collaboration event. It is held in Magic Record mobile game—spinoff of Puella Magi Crazyok Magica universe — the main characters of the series Lycoris Recoil will make their magical debut soon, with further event details to be announced.
Eager fans Reddit speculated that the event could tie in with Chisato’s official birthday on September 23, which the series celebrates a day before the 2022 series finale.
Magic Record is no stranger to anime themed collaborations with characters from Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha and monologues become available through limited-time events. Magic Record is currently only available in Japan after the North American version of the game was pulled from storefronts in 2019.
Lycoris Recoil the anime was voted by fans as Anime Corner’s Best Anime of the Summer 2022 season, with new anime production announced in February 2023. The Blu-ray release of the first volume was also a commercial success, becoming “Top Selling TV Anime Disc” in Japan by selling nearly 30,000 units by November 19, 2022.
