On the official site for the incentive Love Live! Nijigasaki Gakuen Doukoukai School Idol production of three new animated films has been announced, and the first slated to open next year in Japan.. The announcement was made during the screening of the OVA “Love Live! Nijigasaki Gakuen Doukoukai School Idol: The Next Sky“, and it was reported that this new trilogy will be “something completely new”.
The first season aired during the season of Autumn-2020 (October-December) and there were thirteen episodes in total, with the platforms crunchyroll and peeling in charge of its distribution in the West. After that the second season of thirteen episodes was broadcast during the season of Spring-2022 (April-June). The Idol Club is buried within the many clubs of Nijigasaki High School. While the club lacks popularity, it certainly doesn’t lack talent. During their initial stage, they were able to capture a significant audience, along with the attention of their members Ayumu Uehara and Yuu Takasaki. Delighted, the two make their way into the club; however, they are disappointed to learn that it has just been discontinued.
However, Ayumu doesn’t think things should end there, so together with Yuu they begin to re-establish the school’s idol club, hoping to recreate the performances that once dazzled them. Love Live! Nijigasaki Gakuen School Idol Doukoukai highlights the reformed idol club as they recruit two former members of the club along with other newcomer girls. Taking the first step towards their dreams, how will these girls achieve stardom in the idol world?
