Character trailer for Kokoro Anzai from the upcoming Lonely Castle in the Mirror anime

Ami Toma voices the main character Kokoro Anzai. A video showing Thomas auditioning for the character was also posted, along with a comment:

“It was my first time auditioning for the role of Kokoro-chan, so I was a little worried about whether I was right for the role. I myself sometimes have a hard time expressing my thoughts and feelings, so I feel like I resemble her in that way. When I read the original story, I wanted to support Kokoro-chan, so I will do my best to make the movie so that everyone who watches it will support her in the same way.”

The upcoming A lonely castle in the mirror anime film released an official preview as well as a new trailer. The film will be released in Japanese theaters on December 23 this year.

Penguin books published the novel in English for the UK and described it as:
In a quiet neighborhood of Tokyo, seven teenagers wake up to find their bedroom mirrors glowing. With one touch, they are drawn from their lonely lives into a beautiful castle filled with winding staircases, watchful portraits and twinkling chandeliers. In this new sanctuary, they encounter a set of clues leading to a hidden room where one of them will be granted a wish. But there’s a catch: if they don’t leave by five o’clock, they’ll die. Over time, a devastating truth emerges: those who dare to share their stories will be punished.
