Released exclusively on Amazon Music, Wargasm’s version stays true to the original song – released in 2006 for the greatest hits album “The Sound Of Girls Aloud” – with the crunchy, authoritative riff and swaggering lead vocal as centrepieces. The band’s personal touch comes in the form of thundering drums, more aggressive shredding and a devilish vocal scream.

The cover capped off an eventful year for Wargasm, marked by the release of ‘Explicit: The Mixxxtape’ The record arrived in September via Republic, and featured singles such as ‘Salma Hayek’, ‘DRILDO’ and ‘Fukstar’. with Enter Shikari for the independent single “The Void Stares Back”, and had a late night performance at this year’s Reading Festival.
Next year the band will embark on a long-awaited tour with Limp Bizkit, playing 10 arena shows across Europe and the UK.
Meanwhile, in 2022 Girls Aloud came back again, announcing a one-off concert together to raise money for cancer research in memory of their late member Sarah Harding. They also paid tribute to Harding, who died of breast cancer last September, by running a charity marathon and releasing a special LP edition of “Sound Of The Underground”.
