Listen to “Thar”, the song of the Chvrches
Chvrches is back with a new song, ‘Thar’ – check it out below.
The track, which the band has been teasing for the past few weeks, is their first new song in over a year. They then shared the song’s lyrics, saying it’s a “brief respite from the horrors of CHV4. [su cuarto álbum, ‘Screen Violence’ de 2021]adding, “We just finished a new song and couldn’t wait to share it with you.”
Now, the three Scots have said about ‘Thar’: “‘Thar’ is a song we wrote with Oscar Holter, a producer we respect and admire a lot. We usually compile songs over a period of months (or years!) until we’ve got material for an album, but this time we just wanted to release something we were excited about and bring something new to the fans to mark the end of the ‘Screen Violence’ era, and the possible beginning of the next chapter of CHVRCHES.”
Holter has previously worked with Charli XCX, BTS and Coldplay, who will join Chvrches for nine concerts in Brazil next month.

Last summer, NME asked Chvrches if fans could expect new material in the near future. “Not for the moment!” replied Mayberry. “We’re touring a lot and mostly doing that for the rest of the year, and then who knows? I think we’ll figure it out as we go.”
The band continued to hint at possible plans to celebrate the tenth anniversary of their debut album, ‘The Bones Of What You Believe’ in 2013. “We talked about it in the pub,” Mayberry told NME . “We haven’t done anything yet.”
Chvrches was recently spotted hanging out with video game designer Hideo Kojima, leading many fans to speculate that they might be involved in the Death Stranding 2 soundtrack. The trio was behind the theme song for Kojima’s Death Stranding of 2019.
