Sam Ryder has shared a new single called ‘All The Way Over’ – listen to it below.
The soulful piano ballad will feature on the Eurovision 2022 runner-up’s debut album, “There’s Nothing But Space, Man!”, due out on November 18 via Parlophone (prepare it here).
According to a press release, Ryder’s latest offering touches on “tumultuous themes of love, loss and heartbreak”, while also featuring a “massive and evocative piano-led chorus”. Check out the official video of the performance below.
“‘All The Way Over’ is a song for anyone on a journey to the other side of loss, grief or heartbreak,” Ryder explained of the single in a statement.
In a video on social media, he said: “I hope this song gets you in a good mood, but if it doesn’t, I hope it gives you a kind of relaxation that has this magical ability to do music.”
Ryder’s first full album will also include his hit song “Space Man” – which came second at Eurovision this year, earning an impressive total score of 466 points – as well as the singles “Living Without You” (featuring Sigala and David Guetta) and “Somebody”.
“It’s a great honor and a beautiful way to create a body of work during this time that represents aspects of our journey and a beautiful way to redirect the flow of energy back to the people who are creating this vortex: you,” a said about the project in his previous statement.
During an interview with NME over the summer, Ryder spoke about the “unbelievable” experience of making his first studio album.
“Last year I wrote about 100 songs, and not all of them are good, it’s the nature of songwriting,” he said.
“Some of my favorite things we’ve put together for an album. It’s done, you’re just keeping the thing. You’ve got this body of work and you’re putting it together now, and then putting the finishing touches on it and then. listening again…”
Sam Ryder will tour the UK and Ireland next year, starting at the Ulster Hall in Belfast on 17th March 2023. You can find the remaining tickets here.
In addition, he will play two concerts at the new London venue Outernet at the end of this month (November 23 and 24).
It was announced last month that the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will take place at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool on May 13. The UK will host the event on behalf of Ukraine next year.
