Listen to Marcus Mumford’s new single ‘Grace’
Marcus Mumford has shared a new song called ‘Grace’ – you can listen to it below.
The track is the second take from frontman Mumford & Sons’ debut solo album, ‘(Self-titled)’, due out on September 16 via Island (prepare it here).
The gritty, country-tinged song is the first official single from the forthcoming album, which follows this month’s ‘Cannibal’.
“Well how should we go on? / Without things getting too heavy / Even though I wouldn’t tell you everything / I could swear I already dropped that bomb on you,” Mumford sings in the first verse.
‘Grace’ is accompanied by an official video directed by Diane Martel (Miley Cyrus), which reflects the “cathartic themes” of the singer-songwriter’s debut LP. Listen here:
Produced by Blake Mills, ‘(Self-titled)’ will star Brandi Carlile, Phoebe Bridgers, Clairo and Monica Martin.
Mumford will present the album on a tour of the UK and Ireland in November; you can find the remaining tickets here. He will follow up with an extensive North American concert series this fall (buy tickets here).
Earlier this week, Marcus Mumford confirmed that Steven Spielberg had directed the official “Cannibal” video. Taken in one take on his phone, this is the first music video directed by the legendary filmmaker.
