Listen to A$AP Rocky’s ‘Shittin’ Me’ on ‘Need For Speed Unbound’
A$AP Rocky has shared his new track ‘Shittin’ Me’, which he made for EA and Criterion’s new game Need For Speed Unbound.
The rapper Instagrammed the track, produced by Kelvin Krash, earlier this week along with photos of him in racing gear.
Last month, EA and Criterion shared images of A$AP Rocky getting his first look at his custom car in real life from Need For Speed Unbound.
The game, which goes on sale worldwide today (December 2), was announced with an official “reveal trailer” in October, showing A$AP in action, roaming the city streets in his elegant Mercedes 190 E.
In addition to the track, Grin Machine’s music video for ‘Shittin’ Me’ is coming on Monday, December 5.
“It was a great pleasure to collaborate creatively with EA on the new Need for Speed game,” A$AP Rocky said in a statement. “’Shittin’ Me’ is the theme song for the game’s soundtrack, and with so much anticipation, it was only natural to make a music video as well.
“Grin Machine did a great job honoring the game’s collaboration with AWGE with the fun wacky aesthetic, and shout out to Krash and Hec [Lynas Frans] for the music, as always”.
‘Shittin’ Me’ follows the Playboi Carti collaboration ‘OUR DE$TINY’, released in September. This followed ‘Arya’ by Nigo, ‘Doja’ by $not, ‘The God Hour’ by A$AP Ant, solo ensemble ‘DMB’ and ‘Strangers’ by Danger Mouse and Black Thought.
Need for SpeedUnbound marks the return of the franchise to Criterion, the Burnout studio, and is the first time the developer has worked on the racing series since 2012’s Need For Speed: Most Wanted.
In February 2020, EA returned the franchise to Criterion, and the publisher said it planned to restructure Ghost Games, which had handled the previous four Need For Speed entries.
