The main cast for The legendary hero is dead features Shunichi Toki, who voices Sion Braiden, and Wataru Kato as Touka. Ayana Taketatsu (Henri), Yurika Kubo (Marguerite), and Hibiku Yamamura (Yuna) are also part of the cast. Rion Cujo (Time Travel Girl : Mari & Waka,Rogue Hero Aesthetic) directed the anime. The anime was announced in April this year and recently revealed a preview for Japan’s Knee High Socks Day. LIDEN FILMS animated the series.
The anime is based on a manga by Subaruichi that was serialized from 2014 to 2020. It has 202 chapters collected in 19 volumes. Shogakukan Asiadescribes the plot as:
It’s just your average (slightly perverted) farmer in the village of Ceza. While he dreams of being a hero and getting the girl, the real hero, Zion, fights demons that threaten to invade the world! But one day Tuka accidentally kills the hero…?! After the death of the legendary hero, who will save the world now?! Tuka quickly buries Zion’s body to hide the evidence, but wakes up the next day to find that she is no longer in her own body…!!
