LadBaby are announcing a new version of Band Aid for their Christmas 2022 single “Food Aid”.

LadBaby has revealed its annual Christmas single for 2022. Get all the details on “Food Aid,” Martin Lewis’ adaptation of Band Aid, below.

YouTuber Mark Hoyle and his wife Roxanne first topped the holiday charts in 2018 with ‘We Built This City,’ followed by ‘I Love Sausage Rolls’ in 2019, and ‘Don’t Stop Me Eatin’ in 2020 .

They made history last year when they became the first group to score a fourth consecutive Christmas number one with the single “Sausage Rolls For Everyone” by Ed Sheeran and Elton John.

By 2022, they are the first group to be allowed to recreate the iconic Band Aid song “Do They Know It’s Christmas”. An all-star cast will be announced for the cover, which goes on sale on Friday, December 16, including journalist and activist Martin Lewis.

100% of the profits from “Food Aid” will go to poverty and hunger charities in the UK, split equally between The Trussell Trust and The Band Aid Trust.

Ladbaby said: “It was never our intention to release a fifth Christmas single, but as Trussell Trust ambassadors we weren’t about to sit idly by in a year when people are struggling more than ever.

A few months ago we approached Bob Geldof, Midge Ure and the Band Aid Trust to get permission to cover the most iconic Christmas song of all time, “Do They Know it’s Christmas”. And we were honored when they said yes. So today we are announcing ‘Food Aid’ to raise as much money as we can for the Trussell Trust and the Band Aid Trust.”

They say: “We knew we needed an icon to launch this year’s campaign, and we’re delighted to announce that Trussell Trust fellow and village champion Martin Lewis will be joining us on this year’s song. In due course, we will also announce. an exciting line-up of musical collaborators yet to be announced.

“We have to do everything we can to build a future where we can all afford to go to bed with a full stomach. We hope that everyone will be able to support us as much as they can.”

Emma Revie, Managing Director of The Trussell Trust, said: “We are extremely grateful to LadBaby for their incredible support for the fifth year running. Between April and September this year, food banks in the Trussell Trust network delivered 1.3 million emergency food packs available to people in need Rising food and fuel prices affect us all, but for lower income families this crisis means that the food bank is likely to be needed by many more and more people.

“Food bank teams are working hard to make sure help is still available. But ultimately no one in the UK should need a food bank – we should have enough money to all for essentials such as food, clothing and heating. Support from LadBaby and the Band Aid fund will help our food bank network continue to provide emergency assistance to local people in crisis, as we work long-term to end the need for food banks forever. Thank you very much.”

The social media stars drew level with The Beatles and the Spice Girls when they scored three Christmas number ones in a row in 2020, but last year they beat both groups with their fourth.

At the end of 2021, LadBaby Sheeran and John’s latest single ‘Merry Christmas’ (Number Two), Wham! (Three), and ‘All I Want For Christmas’ (Four) by Mariah Carey.

The Kunts’ Boris Johnson protest song “Boris Johnson Is STILL A Fucking C**t” landed at number five, amid a war of words with LadBaby.
