Konosuba: Megumin Spin-Off Anime Gets First Trailer, 2023 Premiere Date

The first trailer has been released for the previously announced Megumin TV anime titledKonoSuba: Blast into this wonderful worldand it was revealed that it will premiere in 2023. Today marks the beginning of the 3rd anniversary celebration ofKonoSuba: God’s blessing to this wonderful world! Legend of Crimsonfilm, which will be screened until September 2. Studio Drive is busy with the production, and you can watch the first trailer:

Konosuba: Megumin Spin-off Anime – First Trailer

Rie Takahashi reprises her role as Megumin, with Aki Toyosaki as Yunyun. The staff working on the 3rd season of KonoSuba is also responsible for the Megumin spin-off anime and includes:

  • Director: Yujiro Abe (episode director ofGreat Pretender, Kaguya-sama Love Is War 1-2)
  • Chief Director: Takaomi Kanyasaki (KonoSuba)
  • Series cast: Makoto Uezu (KonoSuba1-2)
  • Character Design: Koichi Kikuta (KonoSuba)

The original KonoSubacreator Natsume Akatsuki and illustrator Kurone Mishima also created KonoSuba: Blast into this wonderful world! a series of light novels. Kadokawa Shoten serialized it from 2014 to 2015 and has a total of 3 volumes in circulation.Yen Presslicensed it in English and they describe the story:
One year before a certain useless goddess and outstanding NEET appeared on the scene, Megumin, the “Greatest Genius of the Crimson Magic Clan”, was hard at work. Ever since a life-changing encounter in her youth, the young mage has devoted her every waking moment to the pursuit of the ultimate offensive magic, the Explosion!
