Kitarou Tanjou: Gegege no Nazo Movie Gets New Trailer, Preview Ahead of November 17th Premiere

The upcoming Kitaru Tanju: Gegege no Nazo anime film released a new trailer and preview ahead of its November 17th theatrical release. Toei Animation is returning to the franchise to animate the film under the direction of Gou Koga.

Hiroyuki Yoshino is writing the script, while Toko Yatabe is doing the character designs. Meanwhile, Mai Ichioka will serve as art director, Tomoyuki Ishiyama will be director of photography, Sayoko Yokoyama is color designer, and Kenji Kawai will compose the music. The cast for the anime film includes:

The Kitaru Tanju: Gegege no Nazo anime film covers the events of 2018 GeGeGe no Kitaro anime series that aired 97 episodes from April 2018 to March 2022. Crispy roll streams the series, describing it as:
Almost twenty years into the 21st century, people have forgotten the existence of Yokai. When a series of unexplained phenomena plague the adults of the human world with confusion and chaos, thirteen-year-old Mana writes a letter to the Yokai Post in search of answers, only to be greeted by Ge Ge Ge no Kitaro…

GeGeGe no Kitaro is a supernatural and comedy horror manga created by Shigeru Mizuki. It was serialized at Kodansha’s Shonen Magazine Comics from 1960 to 1969. It created a total of seven anime adaptations starting from 1968 to 2018. All of them were broadcast by Fuji Television and animated by Toei Animation. The series also has several film versions, the most recent of which is GeGeGe no Kitaro: Japan Explodes!!, released in 2008
