Kimi wa Houkago Insomnia manga gets anime adaptation

Headline the eighth compiled volume of the manga written and illustrated by Good on you, Insomnia Kimi wa Houkago (Insomniacs After School), confirmed that the work will feature anime adaptation and live-action series adaptation. Production details and release dates for both projects will be announced shortly.

Previously, an animated promotional video had already been made for the work, but the studio in charge at the time had not been revealed.

Ojiro started publishing the manga through the magazine Great Comic Spirits from the publisher Shogakukan in May 2019, and the publisher published the seventh compiled volume in October 2021, followed by the eighth on January 12 in Japan. Ojiro is also an author of such works Fujiyama-san wa Shishunki (Fujiyama Adolescence), Neko no Otera no Chion-san (Miss Chion Cat Temple) Y Katie.

Summary of Kimi wa Houkago Insomnia

It all started with the death of one of the members of the Astronomy Club. From this came the ghost of the club's rumors. A disgruntled and gloomy Ganta Nakami meets Isaki Magari, who is moderately rebellious but easy-going, at the abandoned astronomy of the Astronomical Club. Magari suddenly wakes up and tries to escape from the place, but a broken door stops her, forcing two of them to enter. The two form an unlikely friendship, forcing them to use the observatory as a safe space to socialize. Insomnia Kimi wa Houkago follows the insomniacs Nakami and Magari at the relaxed observatory as they help each other combat the insomnia and its lasting effects on student life.
