Kid Cudi leaves the Rolling Loud stage after the audience throws things at him

Kid Cudi walked out during his Rolling Loud performance last night after the audience repeatedly threw objects at the stage.

The rapper/singer – real name Scott Mescudi – replaced Kanye West on the bill at the Miami event last weekend (July 17) when Ye simply decided “to [ya] I wouldn’t do it.” It marks the ‘DONDA’ star’s second cancellation of the 2022 festival, after Coachella.

West and Cudi were previously close friends and collaborators, but had a rocky relationship since the mid-2010s. They broke up again earlier this year, said to be due to Cudi’s friendship with Pete Davidson, the current partner of West’s ex-wife, Kim. Cardassian.

It looks like the ongoing feud got into the community last night. According to Consequence, people in the audience repeatedly interrupted Cudi by chanting West’s name and throwing objects towards the stage.

Cudi is said to have finished his performance after 30 minutes. According to Setlist.FM, he performed four songs: ‘Tequila Shots’, ‘She Knows This’, ‘Marijuana’ and ‘REVOFEV’.

In a fan-recorded video, Cudi told the crowd (via XXL Magazine): “If I get one more f***ing thing come in…if I see one more f***ing thing on the f*** this stage, I’m out. Don’t bother me.”

Another article was then released before Cudi made a quick exit – you can see that clip below.

In another video, viewers can be heard chanting “Kanye” as Cudi leaves. Some attendees and viewers called out West’s fans for being “disrespectful” to Cudi and not showing any “common decency”.

“Kid Cudi didn’t deserve that shit. You should be ashamed Kanye fans,” wrote one Twitter user. Another said: “The hate on kid Cudi is so unnecessary and childish he doesn’t deserve it at all. Kanye fans need to stop being rude to Cudi.”

You can see those reactions and more below.

Shortly after Cudi’s set ended, Kanye West made a surprise appearance during Lil Durk’s show on a nearby stage. The two performed a joint version of “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1,” Ye’s collaboration with Cudi from the former’s 2016 album The Life Of Pablo.

Rolling Loud Miami 2022 returns today (July 23) with performances from the likes of Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Gucci Mane and Soulja Boy. Tomorrow (July 24) Kendrick Lamar will headline, along with Lil Baby, Kodak Black and others.

In announcing the cancellation of Kanye West’s headlining performance last week, Rolling Loud co-founders Tariq Cherif and Matt Zingler said in a joint statement (via Pitchfork): “We look forward to Ye headlining Rolling Loud Miami 2022.” .

“We have spent months working with him and his team on the production. Sadly, Ye has decided that he will no longer be performing. Well done.” better”.

“We look forward to welcoming Kid Cudi as a headliner in Miami and we look forward to seeing what the future holds for him.”

On the other hand, last Friday (July 15) Cudi released his first mixtape “A Kid Named Cudi” (2008) on streaming services for the first time. It was the lead on his eighth studio album, “Entergalatic,” which arrives on September 30. That release will coincide with the premiere of the animated series Cudi, for which a trailer was released last month.
