Kendrick Lamar brings a surprise personal show in London with Sampha

Kendrick Lamar made a surprise appearance at Soho House’s 180 The Strand venue in London this week.

The rapper, who is currently touring the UK and Ireland for his “Big Steppers” tour, stopped by the creative hub on Wednesday (November 9) after performing for three nights at the O2.

As The Line Of Best Fit reports, Lamar joined Sampha at 180 The Strand to play his collaboration track ‘Father Time’, which appears on his fifth debut album ‘Mr. Morale & The Big Steps’.

Since then, many photos and videos of the series special taken by fans have appeared on social media:

In August, Lamar played a similarly intimate concert in New York while at home for two concerts at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. That performance took place in the Dumbo House members club, which is also a venue in Soho House.

Lamar has three dates left on his current UK and Ireland tour: Dublin (November 13-14) and Manchester (November 16). He will then go to Australia and New Zealand early next month.

In a five-star review of Lamar’s concert in Paris last month, NME wrote: “[La] Journey presents a creative vision that would disturb most mortals. It’s an impressive and exciting performance of truly great modern rap.”

This summer, Kendrick Lamar headlined Glastonbury Festival 2022 alongside Billie Eilish and Paul McCartney.

In other news, TDE’s Punch recently revealed that the rapper made changes to his 2012 album ‘Good Kid, MAd City’ “literally an hour” before sending it out for mastering.
