Kelly Jones’ new group, Far From Saints, have announced their first live concert. Below you will find all the details.
The Stereophonics frontman teamed up with Patty Lynn and Dwight Baker of Austin group The Wind And The Wave for this collaborative project. Their first single, “Let’s Turn This Back Around,” was released last month.
As confirmed this week, Far From Saints will take to the stage at the EarthH Theater in Hackney, London, on Monday 5 June. Tickets are on sale now; you can buy yours here.
“Like starting over…our first show at the World Theater will be a completely new and exciting experience that we can’t wait to share with you all,” Jones said in a statement.
“We have a great band, half British and half American, ready to play the new album in its entirety with a few extras.”
Also, some festival appearances will be confirmed soon.
Far From Saints have yet to announce their debut full-length, although it is expected to arrive in the summer. The LP was written and produced by the band, and mixed by Grammy nominee Al Clay (Blur, Pixies).
Jones, Lynn and Baker reunited for the first time in 2019 on Jones’ solo UK tour, where they covered ‘Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around’ with Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty. Baker and Lynn opened for Jones on those dates.
Later, the trio began improvising and writing songs together in dressing room hallways, dressing rooms, sound checks, and hotel rooms.
In a recent interview, Jones reported on the future of Stereophonics.
“There’s no band break or anything like that,” he explained. “For me, after 25 years of doing all our work, it’s because I want to show other aspects of what I want to try creatively.”
