The Kaiju #8anime revealed two types of character previews – one for the Japan Anti-Kaiju Defense Force and one for the titular Kaiju No. 8. Production IG is in charge of the animation and the anime will premiere in April 2024. Studio Khara will be in charge of the creature designs. You can check out the new visuals below:

Kaiju #8manga by Naoya Matsumoto began serialization in July 2020 in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ and has since been collected into 10 volumes. Viz Media licensed it in English in North America, and seven volumes have been published so far, with eight volumes scheduled for release on October 10, 2023. They describe the story:
Kafka hopes to one day fulfill his contract with his childhood friend Mina to join the Japanese Defense Forces and fight on her side. But while she neutralizes the kaiju as captain of the Third Division, Kafka is stuck cleaning up the aftermath of his battles. When a sudden rule change makes Kafka eligible for the Defense Force, he decides to try out for the unit one more time. There’s just one problem—he’s on the defense force’s neutralization list under the codename Kaiju No. 8.
