Kaguya-sama: Love is War surpasses 17 million copies in circulation

The description of the twenty – fourth compiled volume of the manga written and illustrated by Aka Akasaka, Kaguya-sama: The War is War (Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen), confirmed that the literary franchise exceeded 17 million cumulative copies in circulation. The count includes the first print run of this first volume, the digital copies sold, and each copy of the current by-products of the franchise.

Akasaka, on the other hand, started publishing the manga in the magazine A miracle jump from the publisher Shueisha in May 2015, and moved to the magazine Young Weekly Jump in 2016. The publisher published the twenty-second compilation volume in May 2021, followed by the twenty-third on August 18 in Japan.

As well as some spin-off manga, the play inspired an animated adaptation of twelve episodes made by the studios. Pictures A-1, led Omichi Shinichi and scripts written by Yasuhiro nakanishi, released in January 2019. The second season of twelve episodes aired in April 2020, with a third season confirmed for April 2022.

At the prestigious Shuchiin Academy, the main representatives of the student body are Miyuki Shirogane and Kaguya Shinomiya. Rated as the best student in the nation and respected by both his peers and mentors, Miyuki serves as president of the student council. Along with him, Vice President Kaguya, the eldest daughter of the wealthy Shinomiya family, excels in all areas. They are jealous of all the students, who are considered to be a perfect couple.

However, even though both of you have already developed feelings for each other, neither of them is willing to let them in. The first person to admit losses will be humiliated and considered the least. With all their honor and pride in mind, Miyuki and Kaguya are so determined that the people who will emerge will triumph on the battlefield of love!
