The upcoming Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean, Part 2 released a new trailer ahead of its September 1 premiere. Episodes 13-24 of the series will premiere on the specified day worldwide on Netflix. The first 12 episodes became available on Netflix on December 1, 2021, while also having weekly airings on Japanese television. Stone Ocean is the 6th part of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure manga by Hirohiko Araki.
David Production animated the series under the lead of Kenichi Suzuki and directed by Toshiyuki Kato. Yasuko Kobayashi does the series composition and Masanori Shino does the character design.
The first half featured “Stone ocean” by ichigo from Kishida Kyoudan & The Akeboshi Rockets as the opening theme and “A distant dreamer” by Duffy as the closing theme.
Netflix describes the plot as:
Florida, USA, 2011 — After an accident while driving with her lover, Jolene Cudjoe is trapped and sentenced to fifteen years in the state’s maximum security facility, Green Dolphin Street Prison—also known as the Aquarium. On the brink of despair, she receives a pendant from her father that causes a mysterious power to awaken within her. “There are things in this world that are more terrifying than death, and what is happening in this prison is definitely one of them. A message from a mysterious boy who appears to Jolene, inexplicable events that happen one after the other, the terrifying truth told to her by her father when he comes to visit, and the name DIO… Will Jolene finally be freed from this stony ocean that I call you a prison? The final battle to end the centuries-old, fateful confrontations between the Joestar family and DIO begins!!
