JAY B and Sik-K leave H1GHR MUSIC after contract expires

GOT7 singer JAY B and South Korean rapper Sik-K have parted ways with H1GHR MUSIC.

On July 25, H1GHR MUSIC announced through their social media accounts that both artists have left the agency following the expiration of their respective contracts.

“Our contracts with Sik-K and JAY B have expired and we have agreed that it is best for them to continue their careers on a different path,” the agency wrote on Twitter. “We will support them as a family forever.”

Following the announcement of H1GHR MUSIC, new record label CDNZA Records has announced that they have signed a contract with JAY B. “Welcome to the new family of CDNZA Records, JAY B! Look forward to the various activities of CDNZA Records and JAY B.,” it read. The GOT7 singer appears to be the agency’s first artist.

JAY B signed with H1GHR MUSIC in May 2021, three months after his departure from the JYP Entertainment agency. In August, the singer released his first EP “SOMO:Fume” led by the single “BTW” featuring H1GHR MUSIC founder and then CEO Jay Park.

In a three-star review of ‘SOMO:Fume’, NME’s Sofiana Ramli wrote, “Having freed himself from the shackles of JYP Entertainment to pursue creative freedom, the singer would have looked forward to the prospect of a plethora of new Producers he. and collaborators on your feet to make a huge trial, but the final result is neutral and safe.”

For his part, Sik-K has yet to announce his future plans. The South Korean rapper has been with H1GHR MUSIC since 2016, after appearing on the rap reality Show Me The Money 4 .
