Jackass will return with a new TV series on Paramount +.
Paramount Global CEO Bob Bakish confirmed the news during an earnings call, according to Diversity.
“Building on the success of Jackass Forever, we are working with the creators to continue the partnership with a new series, bringing more ridiculous antics straight to Paramount +,” Bakish said yesterday (May 3).
No further details were revealed about returning cast members or possible tricks, but only Paramount + would host the project.
Jackass 4.5 will be shown for the first time on Netflix next month, with never-before-seen footage from Jackass Forever.
Like the previous 2.5 and 3.5 movie expansions, behind-the-scenes footage, outputs, cast interviews, and unprecedented tricks will be featured in Jackass 4.5.
Johnny Knoxville has already said that he is retiring from big tricks, a decision that is influenced by his doctor’s medical advice.
Speaking to NME, Knoxville said: “I knew when I went into this movie that it was the last time I did big tricks because I have kids and I was hurt a lot. I feel like I can resign. this movie is ok as it is the last movie with big tricks. I have nothing to prove in that area. “
In a four-star NME review, Jackass Forever is described as “90 minutes of great joy” with scenes “that could really make you feel emotional”.
Jackass 4.5 will be shown on Netflix on May 20th.
