The upcoming I’ll survive on potions anime revealed a new preview on Friday and information about additional cast members. Newly announced cast members are Taito Ban (Roland), Ryuichi Kijima (Fernand), Takeo Otsuka (Allan), Masaya Wada (Fabio), and Takuya Sato (God in the Earth). The anime is set to premiere on October 7.
Nobuaki Nakanishi directed the anime, Takayo Ikami wrote the script, Chisato Kikunaga designed the characters, and Hiroaki Tsutsumi composed the music. Harmoe performs the closing theme song “Love is a potion” and the previously announced cast of I’ll survive on potions includes:
- Rin Kusumi as Kaoru
- Tomoyo Takayanagi as Francette
- Moeka Koizumi as Emil
- Haruki Iwata as Belle
- Natsuki Kitagawa as Layette
- Nao Toyama as Celestine
The anime is based on the light novel written by FUNA, which was originally published on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in 2015. Kodansha later acquired the title in 2017 and began publishing it in print with illustrations by Sukima.J-Roman Clublicensed the series in English and they describe the first volume as follows:
One day, the supervisor in charge of monitoring the Earth was taking care of a warp when they made a mistake that caused Kaoru Nagase to lose his physical body. Not only that, but reincarnating her in a different, less culturally advanced world is the only thing they can offer to do for her. Not one to take this turn of events sitting down, Kaoru makes a demand: the power to create potions whenever he wants, to whatever effect he wants—and it doesn’t stop there, either.
