Hot Chip are back with their first new music of 2023 – listen to ‘Fire Of Mercy’, featuring Yunè Pinku, below.
The band’s new song is their first since the release of their latest full-length album, “Freakout/Release”, which came out last August.
Commenting on the new track, the band’s Joe Goddard said: “The Fire of Mercy” is connected to the central concept of William Blake’s “Songs of Experience”: mourning the corruption that inevitably comes with adulthood and looking forward to returning to the purity of youth”.
Yunè Pinku added: “It’s a great honor to work with Hot Chip, because they are great legends in the world of electronica. When they put me in the Fire of Mercy and when they asked me to go on the road, I would love to work with them.“.
