The upcoming Hoshikuzu telepath anime has revealed a new key visual featuring characters Umika Konohoshi, Yuu Akeuchi, Haruno Takaragi, and Matataki Raimon walking together towards a lighthouse. The anime revealed its first trailer last June, which included the characters. The series will premiere in October and Studio Gokumi (Yuki Yuna is a hero) animated with Kaori (The typical fives ∬) as director.
The anime’s cast consists of Yurie Funato as Umika Konohoshi, Seria Fukagawa as Yuu Akeuchi, Mo Nagamuta as Haruno Takaragi, Shiki Aoki as Matataki Raimon, Hina Yomiya as Honami Konohoshi, and Natsumi Takamori as Emihara. Miku Ito will perform the opening theme song ‘Ten to Sen’ and voice actress team SoundOrion will perform the ending theme song ‘Tentaizu’. The staff includes Natsuko Takahashi (Funny girls) as screenwriter and Takahiro Sakai (A vampire lady who lives in my neighborhood) as character designer and chief animation director.
Hoshikuzu telepathis a four-panel manga series written and illustrated by Rasuko Okuma. Houbunsha’s seinen manga magazine Manga Time Kirara has been serializing the title since May 2019. The manga was nominated for Best Print Manga at the 7th Next Manga Awards in 2021.
The series is a coming-of-age story that follows a shy girl named Umika Konohoshi who has a hard time interacting with others and making friends. One day, a transfer student named Yu Akeuchi shows up. She turns out to be an alien who can read others’ feelings by touching their foreheads.
