Heat the pork liver anime adaptation revealed a new trailer and key visual earlier today. Project No.9 is animating the series, which will premiere in October. The new trailer also features the opening theme song ‘Watashi ga Warau Wake ha’ by ASCA and the ending theme song ‘Hitorijanaiyo’ by Myuk.
Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Kirito c Sword Art OnlineInosuke cDemon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) will voice the titular Pig, while Tomori Kusunoki (Makima vA man with a chainsaw) voices Jess. Miyu Tomita and Kento Ito will also be featured in the anime as Ceres and Noth.
TheBut no liver(Warm up the pig’s liver: The story of a man turned into a pig, Butareba) story is based on an isekai light novel written by Takuma Sakai and illustrated by Asagi Tohsaka. The light novel began serialization in 2020, and a manga adaptation is currently in the works.
The plot follows an unattractive otaku who is reincarnated as a pig after passing out while eating raw pork liver. In the new world, he meets Jess, a girl who can read minds. Jess accepts him for what he is, but eventually plans to eat him. However, she is in danger and Pig is the only one who can save her as he uses his new skill set which includes a keen sense of smell.
