An “orchestra” of electric toothbrushes performed the classic Daft Punk song “Harder, better, faster, stronger.”
The brains behind the Device Orchestra YouTube channel used the vibrations of different electric toothbrushes to match the different tones of the French duo’s 2001 song.
To bring the cover art to life, the Device Orchestra has posted a video of three toothbrushes adorned with googly eyes attached to a “Vibra tone” machine that controls vibrations to handle the sound coming out of an office.
A Device Orchestra used devices such as mobile phones, typewriters and credit card machines to produce songs. Despacito,” Luis Fonsi’s 2017 collaboration with Daddy Yankee, who performs with a nail drill and other objects in the video.
On the other hand, among the songs covered by toothbrushes are “Hello” by Adele and “Toxic” by Britney Spears, the latter with one million views.
For their part, Daft Punk has just opened an official account on TikTok.
The French electronic duo – who announced their breakup in February 2021 after almost three decades of career – have now signed a direct deal with the platform.
From now on, TikTok users will be able to access music from the band’s catalog to use in their videos. The group has retained the rights to their material since the 1990s.
Additionally, fans can apply two Daft Punk-themed filters to their posts: a customizable robotic helmet and Charles, the anthropomorphic dog from Spike Jonze’s video for the 1995 single “Da Funk.”
Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo are said to continue posting content on their new TikTok channel. “Let’s rewind time, on TikTok”, is the title of the first video, a quick montage that ends with the dates “1993 – 2021”.
