Halo Infinite will launch a mini-royale battle mode in the second season

hala-indefinite season two will feature a new royal battle mode: Lone Wolves, according to a recent trailer and accompanying blog post.

The mode, Last Spartan Standing, will have 12 players in the Grand Team Battle map. They have five respawns, and when they run out, eliminate them from the game. The other downside is that, like other battle royale games, the area where it can be played decreases throughout the game. Players can also upgrade their weapons when they get killed.

The classic King of the Hill mode will also return in Season 2, but with some changes to the original formula. Multiplayer game designer Zach Boyce explained some of the changes, the main one being that each team now has a control meter while occupying a hill that they must fill to earn a point. A hill will only move when its control meter is filled by a staff on that hill. Hills will have a much faster capture time than before, but also a much faster return to Neutral when unoccupied. However, if players want to play a classic KOH, they can do so by creating a custom game with the original set of rules, which will be available.

Finally, the trailer showed Land Grab, which starts with three neutral zones. Players can capture each zone and block it for one point. Once all three zones are captured, new ones will appear. Unfortunately, we have not been able to see or read anything about Elimination, although it has been confirmed that this mode will also be released in Season 2.

In addition, 343 Industries finally brings the Pit Rumble back as a playlist, as well as three new mode versions: Ninja Slayer, Vampireball (it’s like Oddball, except the skull is one – hit and you get your shield back for killing an enemy with her), and Rocket Repulsors.

hala-indefinite Season 2: Lone Wolves launch on May 3rd. The game is available on Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One, and PC.
