Greentea Peng and Nightmares On Wax share new song ‘Top Steppa V2’
Greentea Peng has teamed up with Nightmares On Wax for their new song ‘Top Steppa V2’ – listen below.
Follows the track “Top Steppa”, which was featured on his recent mixtape “GREENZONE 108”.
Speaking about the collaboration, Nightmares On Wax said: “It’s an honor to collaborate with Greentea again, after she was on my record last year. I’m a big fan of her as an artist and we totally connected with the energy they share.
“Top Steppa” is already a great song, so to be able to combine the sound of Nightmares on Wax with this theme for ‘Top Steppa V2’ is the perfect musical marriage. After a bit of vibing back and forth with Greentea, I tapped into that iconic British ’90s hip hop and 70s roots reggae performance with a futuristic electronic twist NOW”.
Greentea Peng added: “It was so nice to work with Nightmares on Wax, a friend of mine and a great musician to repackage ‘Top Steppa’ and turn it into a whole new track on ‘Top Steppa V2’ – Big Love! “

GREENZONE 108′ came out in September and continued with the new spiritual song ‘Look To Him’ and the follow up single ‘Your Mind’. In their review of the mixtape, NME wrote: “With her second mixtape, Greentea Peng shows tremendous growth in her pen and musicianship.
“She keeps what works – the psychedelic and futuristic sounds that transport us to the alternate Universes – but also plays with this context, the new influences of rock music and electric guitar that add punch and instant energy. She is inspired. As she matures in every aspect of his life, ‘GREENZONE 108’ is an absolute triumph.”
Commenting on the new mixtape, Greentea Peng has said: “‘GREENZONE 108’ is an open, free-flowing performance space. A collection of works accumulated over a period of transition in my life. A kind of MAN MADE elevation, in the sense that it has changed and that many things were created in the 2 years since he was born.
“GREENZONE108″ is freer, less structured and more dialogic/open space exploring everything from spirituality and originality to mental health and politics, hence why it’s a mixtape and not an album.”
