The upcoming Golden Kingdom and Water Kingdom anime film released separate character trailers for the main characters – Naranbayar and Sara. They are voiced by Kento Kaku and Minami Hamabe respectively. The film is set to open on January 27 in Japan.
Kotono Watanabe directed the film and Madhouse Studio animated it. Other cast members include Hiroshi Kamiya as Saladin, Miyuki Sawashiro as Lailala, Subaru Kimura as Jauhara, Keiko Toda as Leopoldine, Chafurin as Piripapa, Masaki Terasoma as Oduni, and Banju Ginga as Rastavan III.
Theme songs composed by Japan-based American music composer and arranger Evan Cole were previously released. They are titled “Brave New World” featuring Kotone, “Yasashii Yokan” and “Love Birds”.
The Golden Kingdom and Water Kingdomthe film is based on a josei manga by Nao Iwamoto. He released the manga in ShogakukanFlowersshojomanga magazine in October 2014, after which it was serialized in theShogakukan Flowers Magazinefrom October 2014 to April 2016.
The manga tells the story of two neighboring countries that never got along with each other, even going so far as to settle things in the most trivial ways possible. One day, as fate would have it, a princess named Sara meets a young man named Naranbayar who comes from the opposing side. The manga surpassed that of TakarajimashaKono Manga ga Sugoi!list of the best manga for female readers in 2017
