‘God Of War: Ragnarok’ Still Released This Year By Director of Animation

God Of War: Ragnarok will continue to come out this year, according to a statement from one of the developers following concerns from fans.

That’s what Santa Monica Studio animation director Bruno Velázquez said, responding to a fan tweet asking him to confirm if the game is still on (April 20).

Fans were worried that the game will not be ready by the end of this year following the release of a development update on the fourth anniversary of the release of God Of War (2018).

Then clip Posted on April 20, creative director Cory Barlog wished “4/20 happy” to fans before saying, “God of War: Ragnarok, the elephant in the room. We have not talked about this much. That’s because all something all over the world with.

Barlog continued, “There’s so much going on right now that I wish I could share it with you, but it’s not ready to show. You … Please stay tuned.”

God Of War: Ragnarok has been in uncertainty since its announcement, so it’s understandable that fans are worried that the lack of footage so far is a sign that the game needs to be delayed.

In February, Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier also demanded that God Of War: Ragnarok not be delayed until next year. Of course, it is possible that the release date could be pushed back at the last minute, because the development process is extremely fluid.

At the time of the latest delay, Herman Hulst, head of worldwide studios at Sony Interactive Entertainment, said production of God Of War: Ragnarok began “a little later,” adding to the delay.

God Of War: Ragnarok will be released on PS4 and PS5 later this year. You can stay up to date with the latest news on the NME page on God Of War: Ragnarok.
